Environmental Science major Skye-Anne Tschoepe awarded Southeast GSA grant to study water quality in the New River

Environmental Science major Skye-Anne Tschoepe was recently awarded a $750 research grant from the southeastern section of the Geological Society of America for her proposal titled An assessment of the impact of stormwater management practices on stream salt ion concentration in the South Fork New River watershed. The funds are being used to purchase an electrical conductivity probe for monitoring salt levels in the Clawson-Burnley constructed wetland on the Town of Boone's greenway. Congratulations Skye-Anne!
